Linxtelecom ulepsza swoje połączenie German Internet Exchange DE-CIX do 10Gbps [eng]

18 May 2010 - Linxtelecom today announced that it has successfully upgraded its connectivity to the German Internet Exchange DE-CIX to 10Gbps. Increased customer traffic and peering requests made this upgrade necessary.

"The DE-CIX in Frankfurt, is one of the focal points for our Internet traffic", explains Niko Bel, Director Product Management.

"We are serving a broad range of customers, from the largest Eastern European carriers to small ISPs by picking up Tier 1 and DE-CIX traffic there and distributing it to Moscow, St Petersburg, Kiev and beyond. We are continually monitoring and adjusting traffic distributions to ensure customers are receiving shortest routes and experience lowest latencies at all times. With this upgrade we can fulfill the needs of our customers even better." adds Niko.

The world largest public internet exchanges are the DE-CIX in Frankfurt, with 328 members and 610Gbps average throughput, AMS-IX (Amsterdam, 351 members and 591 Gbps) and LINX (London, 332 members and 406 Gbps). In addition to these top three, Linxtelecom is present at MSK-IX in Moscow, SPB-IX in St Petersburg, PLIX in Warsaw, Netnod in Stockholm, UA-IX in Kiev and at many other internet exchanges.
